Laxmi Flourmill

Laxmi Flourmill is located at H. No 6-62/A in the village of Gundlapally. We are part of the Bejjanki Mandal, and we’ve been grinding grain for the local families here for many years. When the machines are running, you can hear the hum from down the street. It’s a dusty place, as you can imagine, with flour covering almost every surface. People from all over Gundlapally bring their wheat and corn to us. We take the raw grain and turn it into fresh flour while they wait. It’s a simple process, but it takes a lot of effort to keep the machines in good shape. We don't have any fancy signs or big advertisements. The smell of the ground grain tells everyone we are open for business. Sometimes we have a long line of people with their sacks, and we just spend the time catching up on village news. It’s a small operation, usually just one or two of us working the grinders. Our clothes and hair are always white by the end of the shift. We don't charge much, just enough to keep the power on and the stones turning. It’s an essential service for a village like ours, and we take pride in doing it right. We know everyone in Bejjanki and they know they can trust us with their harvest. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s an honest one that we enjoy. Most of the folks here have been coming to us since they were children.
