Our place, Baba Bricks Manufacturing Industry, sits right on the road from Velgonda to Gopulapur. We are in Velgonda, and the address is 3-8-51. If you travel that road often, you have probably seen our yard. It’s a dusty stretch of land where we keep the bricks. The work is pretty basic but it takes a lot of effort. We spend the whole day out there, moving heavy loads and checking the rows. It’s not a quiet job; there’s always the sound of engines or people calling out to each other. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just make bricks. Being on the Velgonda to Gopulapur Road means we get a lot of trucks passing by. Some of them stop to load up, others are just passing through to the next town. The sun can be really brutal in Velgonda, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early.
