If you drive down G.T. Road toward the Sahnewal Air Port Road, you will find our workshop. It is not hard to miss because of all the metal pieces sitting outside. We are an engineering shop, so there is always the sound of grinding and welding going on. The air usually smells like burnt oil and cooling fluid. It is a noisy place, and we often have to shout to be heard over the lathes. We have been in this part of Ludhiana for a long time. People around here know us for being practical. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; you usually just walk in and find someone with grease on their clothes. The shop floor is crowded with tools and parts that need fixing or making. We handle a lot of different metalwork, and no two days are exactly the same. Some customers bring in small things, and others have big pieces of machinery that need a lot of attention. We just work through the pile until it is done. The traffic on the main road is always loud, but you stop noticing it after an hour or so. We keep the lights on late when there is a deadline. It is just a regular engineering shed where we fix things that are broken and make things that people need for their own businesses. It is hard work, but we like it that way.
