JP BALAJEE CEMENT PLANT

Down in the village of Budawada, in the Jaggayyapeta Mandal of Krishna District, is where you will find the JP Balajee Cement Plant. Being out here in the village means we are surrounded by a lot of open space, which is good because a cement plant can be a bit of a dusty operation. The roads out here aren't always the smoothest, especially after a heavy rain, but the trucks manage to get in and out every day. We have a lot of local guys from the village and the nearby mandal working with us, so it feels more like a community project than a big industrial site sometimes. The sun is usually pretty strong out here, and the white dust from the cement reflects the light, making it a very bright place to work. We’ve got the big kilns and the grinding units running most of the time, and you can hear the hum of the plant from quite a distance away. It’s a long way from the big cities, but we like the quiet of the rural life when we aren't at the plant. We spend our days managing the raw materials and making sure the bags are filled and loaded onto the lorries. It’s hard work and the days are long, but there is something satisfying about seeing the stacks of cement ready to go out and build things in other parts of the country.
