L&T Construction

We are based at House No. 257 in Ward No. 11, which is near School Para in Kanker. It isn’t a typical office building. It’s actually a house that we use for our construction work. You can hear the sounds from the nearby school throughout the day, which is actually quite nice. We’ve been working in the Kanker area for a long time now. Most of our crew is from around here, so we know the local land and the people well. We use this house to keep our records and plan out our projects. It’s a simple setup with a few tables and some chairs for meetings. We don’t really have any formal business hours; we’re usually out on a site somewhere. If we aren't at the house, someone is probably just around the corner. We don’t use a lot of fancy words or complicated contracts. We just talk about what needs to be built and then we go do it. Sometimes we sit on the front steps in the evening to discuss the next day's plans. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it’s how we’ve always operated. We’ve seen Kanker grow and change, and we’ve played a small part in that. We’re just a group of local guys who know how to build things. We take it one project at a time and try to do right by the neighborhood.
