Imran Traders

Imran Traders is right on the Main Road in Sanjay Market. We are located directly opposite the bus stand here in Jagdalpur. It’s a very busy spot because of the buses coming and going all day long. You can always hear the horns and people shouting, but it makes for a good location for a shop. We’ve been here for several years. The shop isn't very big, so we have to use every bit of space we have, even the walls. We sell all sorts of things that people in the district might need. Some days the market is so crowded that it's hard to move, especially on market days. We open up early in the morning just as the first buses start arriving. Most of our customers are folks passing through or locals doing their weekly shopping. We spend a lot of time talking to people across the counter. It’s a lot of hard work, especially in the heat, but we like being in the middle of all the action. My son helps me out in the afternoons after he finishes his studies. We keep everything written down in old ledgers because that's how we’ve always done it. It works for us. If you ever find yourself at the Jagdalpur bus stand, you can just look across the road and see our sign. It's nothing fancy, just a local business trying to get by.
