Kundan Rice Mills

We are located on the Main Road, right near the turning for Semapala Road. It is a spot that works well for us and the local farmers who bring their grain to Kundan Rice Mills. We have been a part of this community for quite a few years now. The business is pretty basic: we take the raw paddy and process it so it is ready for the market. The machines we use are older models, but they are reliable as long as we keep them well-maintained and oiled. My family has been running this place for a generation, and we have learned a lot about the different types of rice grown around here. We don't spend much time in the office; most of our day is spent out where the action is, near the hullers and the sorters. The building itself is an old structure, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it keeps the rain off the grain and that is what matters. We know most of our customers by their first names because they have been coming here for a long time. We don't have any marketing people or a sales team. We just rely on being honest and doing the work the right way. Sometimes we sit down with the farmers for a quick chat and some tea while the machines are running. It is a simple, hardworking life that follows the cycle of the seasons.
