Kara Brothers Marine Food Company is located out in Jagatsinghpur, specifically at Clr-142 in Caber Khana. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but being near the Coast Guard and the Post Office in Madhuban makes it easy enough to find if you know the landmarks. Since we handle marine food, our days start way before most people are even awake. The smell of the sea is pretty much stuck to everything we own. We spend a lot of time checking the ice levels and making sure the catch is sorted properly. It’s cold work, and your hands usually stay wet for most of the shift. We aren’t a huge operation with hundreds of people, just a local team that knows how to handle fish and shrimp. The building itself has seen better days, the salt air tends to eat at the paint, but it serves its purpose for what we do. We get the crates in, sort them out, and get them moving again as fast as possible. Sometimes the delivery trucks get delayed on the roads around here, which can be a real headache. But we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. It’s honest work, even if it’s messy and smells a bit. We’ve been part of this community for a while now and people know where to find us. We just keep the floors washed and the fish cold to make sure everything stays fresh.
