Vedanta

Our spot is in Bhoda, which is under the Balikuda post office in the Jagatsinghpur district. We are set up at Basudev Sahu’s place. It is a very local setup, really just part of the village life here in Orissa. You won't find any big neon signs pointing the way to Vedanta. We just go about our business day by day. Sometimes the rain gets so heavy that the road outside turns to mud, and we have to leave our shoes by the door so we don't track it all inside. The office itself is small. We have enough space for what we need, which is mostly just a place to sit and keep our records. We have been operating out of this location for a while now. The people around here are friendly, and we often see the same faces every single day. It makes the work feel a bit more personal when you know the families living on either side of you. We don't have fancy office furniture, just what was available and what works. Usually, there is a radio playing somewhere in the background, though we aren't always the ones who turned it on. It’s just the sound of the neighborhood coming in through the open door. We like being part of the local community here in Jspur. It feels right for us to be here in this specific corner of the world.
