Vedanta Aluminium Limited

Our office is in Jagatsinghpur, specifically in the Purohitpur area. Sambit Hota is the person in charge at this location. We are part of the Vedanta Aluminium group, but being here in Jagatsinghpur, we focus on the regional tasks. The office is a modest space where we keep our records and manage our daily schedules. It’s located in a typical part of town, so you see the local life going on right outside our window. We spend a lot of time dealing with the paperwork that comes with such a large industry. There are always forms to fill out and people to call. We don't have any fancy corporate decor around here. It’s mostly just functional furniture and stacks of files. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we have a deadline, but mostly we just work through the tasks one by one. The people who work here are mostly locals who know the area well. We like the fact that it's a bit more laid back than the big plant sites. We still have to work hard, of course, but the atmosphere is different. We have our small rituals, like the midday meal and the afternoon tea break. It’s just a normal workplace where we do our best to stay organized. We're here every day, making sure the business in this district is taken care of. The building gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a few fans that do the job.
