Our setup is a bit different because we are actually out at the project camp in Nanpur. This is specifically for the Cuttack-Paradeep project. If you come out this way in the Cuttack district of Orissa, you’ll see our temporary site office. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning in every room or nice carpets. It’s a work camp, so it’s mostly about functionality. We deal with a lot of dust and the sounds of heavy machinery nearby. Living and working at the camp means we are always close to the project. We have our files and our gear all kept in one place. The pin code is 754159 if you’re sending anything our way. Life here is simple. We wake up early, check the progress on the road or the pipes, and make sure everything is moving along. It’s a long way from the big city lights of Cuttack, but we’ve got a good team of people who don’t mind the dirt. We share meals and talk about the work that needs to be finished by next week. It’s honest labor. We don’t have time for fancy corporate talk because there is always something that needs fixing or someone waiting for a delivery. It’s just us, the project, and the open air of the Orissa countryside. We are just trying to get this job done right without any extra complications getting in the way.
