Out here in Kanakpur, things are a bit more relaxed than in the big hubs. Our Interarch Building Products Pvt. Ltd. office is located via Tirtol in the Jagatsinghpur district. It’s a bit of a trek to get here sometimes, especially when it rains heavily, but we like the pace of life in this part of Odisha. The office is a simple setup, mostly just desks and chairs and a lot of registers for keeping track of building materials. We spend our mornings checking on local project sites and our afternoons catching up on admin work. You can hear the sounds of the village and the birds outside most of the day, which is nice compared to city noise. We don’t have any slick receptionists or high-tech glass walls. It’s mostly just us locals working together to make sure everyone gets their supplies on time. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it goes here. We treat everyone who walks through the door like a neighbor because, usually, they are. It’s a practical way to run a business, focusing on what’s right in front of us. We’ve been part of this community for a while, and we just keep doing our thing, day in and day out, without making a big fuss about it.
