D. K. Traders

D. K. Traders is located at 1804 Old Sabzi Mandi. This part of town has so much history but it is definitely not a quiet place to work. The old vegetable market area is always moving. Even though the main market has shifted, people still come here out of habit. Our shop is an old one with thick walls and high shelves that you need a ladder to reach. Most mornings start with the sound of carts being pushed over the uneven ground outside. We spend a lot of time counting stock and writing things down in the big ledgers we keep on the main desk. The wood on the counter is worn smooth from years of use. It’s a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, so we keep the lights on even during the day. We get a lot of regulars who just stop by to chat for a minute while they’re passing through. There’s always a bit of dust in the air from the street, so we have to wipe down the boxes pretty often. It’s a simple routine and we don't try to change it much. We know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone walking in from the street. It’s just a regular trading spot in an old part of the city. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but we stay pretty much the same. We just keep the doors open and get to work every single morning.
