Urjita Welfare Foundation

The Urjita Welfare Foundation is based out of a small space at 2038/12 in the Shastri Ward. That’s over in Jabalpur East. It’s not the easiest address to find if you aren't from around here, but once you get into the 482004 area, you’ll see it. We have been here in Jabalpur for a while. It’s a busy part of town, especially during the middle of the day. Our office is pretty plain. We have a couple of desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of files. We don’t really go in for decorations or anything unnecessary. It’s just about getting through the work that needs doing. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use the daylight from the window. It’s a very local operation. We know the people around the ward, and they know us. There’s a certain routine to life here in Madhya Pradesh that we’ve grown used to. It’s not a high-rise office or a glass building. It’s just a room where we can sit down and focus. We do what we can with what we have. If you come by, don’t expect a lobby or a receptionist. Just knock and one of us will answer. It’s a practical setup for the kind of stuff we handle daily. We prefer keeping things grounded and local.
