Starting out in Jabalpur, specifically around Vijay Nagar Colony, was a bit of a challenge at first. Unique Home Tution Services operates from this area, near the Choupati Ahinsa Chowk. It’s a nice neighborhood where people know each other. We spend most of our time talking to parents on the phone or meeting them to figure out which tutor fits their child best. Our office is just a plain space where we keep our files and records. You won't find any big signs or flashy lights here. We just coordinate between teachers and families who need help with school subjects. The Choupati nearby is always crowded in the evenings, which makes the walk to the office quite lively. We handle a lot of requests for different grades. Sometimes a tutor doesn't show up and we have to scramble to find a replacement, which is the stressful part of the job. But usually, things go smoothly. We don't pretend to be some giant corporation. It's just a few of us making sure kids in Jabalpur get some extra help at home. We know the local syllabus well because we grew up here ourselves. It's a lot of back-and-forth travel, but seeing a student finally get a passing grade makes the long days in Vijay Nagar worth it. We often sit here until late evening finishing up the paperwork and making sure the schedule for the next day is ready for everyone involved. It is a quiet way to earn a living but we like it.
