Trapti Kirana Stores

Our shop, Trapti Kirana Stores, is located on the Main Road in Bawli, right near the Gram Panchayat in Maharajpur. Being so close to the local office means we see a lot of people coming and going for their paperwork, and they often stop in for a snack or something to drink. Jabalpur can get really warm, so we try to keep the store as cool as we can with a couple of fans. Running a kirana store is mostly about being there when people need you, so we open up early and don’t close until late evening. We stock all the basic stuff like grains, soaps, and kitchen supplies. The bags of flour are heavy and the boxes of oil take up a lot of room, so the shop often feels a bit crowded. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and writing things down in our ledger. It’s not a high-tech operation, just us and our customers. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to tell us the local news while we’re busy bagging up sugar. We have to deal with the occasional power cut and the noise from the road, but that’s just life here in Bawli. We don’t have any fancy signs or decorations, just the products on the shelves and a counter to work at. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite a while now.
