Touchstone Welfare Foundation

Touchstone Welfare Foundation is located at 218, Mahanadda Nagpur Road, near Madan Mahal in Jabalpur. It’s a busy road, so there’s always something happening outside our door. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. The building is older, but it has character. We use the space to coordinate our local activities. Jabalpur is a big city, but our part of it feels like a small community where everyone knows everyone else. We aren't some big international group. We’re just local people who wanted to do something good. Some days we are out on the road and other days we are stuck inside doing paperwork at number 218. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we have a small fan that rattles a bit, but it keeps us cool. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. Just a couple of old desks and some chairs we’ve had for years. People from the neighborhood drop by to chat or ask for advice on things. We try to help out however we can, even if it’s just something small. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just see something that needs doing and we try to do it. It’s pretty basic. We’re glad to be part of the Mahanadda area and hope to stay here for a long time doing what we do.
