T.N. Shukla Eye Hospital

T.N. Shukla Eye Hospital is right on the Main Road in Ranjhi, just opposite where the second vehicle turn is. It’s a very easy place to find if you are familiar with the Ranjhi area. The road gets quite loud with all the trucks and cars passing by, but we’ve tried to make the hospital a bit of a refuge from all that noise. We focus entirely on eye care here. You will see a lot of elderly people sitting in the waiting room because eyes tend to give more trouble as we get older. We have the usual testing machines and a small area for procedures. The rooms aren't huge, but they are functional. Our doctors have been working in this field for a long time and they have a very direct way of talking to people. No big medical jargon, just plain talk about what is wrong with your sight. The staff at the front desk handles the appointments, though we do get people just walking in because they got something in their eye or woke up with a blur. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture or art on the walls. It is a hospital, after all. We just keep the lights on and the instruments clean. People in Ranjhi know us as the place to go when your glasses aren't working or your eyes feel tired. We just keep things moving and get people seen.
