Sumit Kirana Stores

Our shop is located right on Water Works Road in the Temer Bheeta area of Jabalpur City. We are situated just below the Sharda Temple, so we get a lot of people passing by on their way up or down from the temple. It’s a kirana store, so we stock all the usual stuff like lentils, rice, soaps, and cooking oil. Being below the temple means it’s always a bit busy, especially on festival days or weekends. You can hear the temple bells from inside the shop sometimes. The space is quite small, so we have stuff hanging from the ceiling and stacked in every corner. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside. We spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates on the milk and bread because people rely on us for fresh things. The street outside is narrow and can get jammed with cars and cows, but that’s just life in Jabalpur. We don't have any fancy marketing or a big team. It’s just us handling the customers, writing down accounts in a ledger, and cleaning the glass jars. The lighting isn't great, but we know where everything is even in the dark. It’s a steady kind of work, nothing too exciting, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. We just try to keep the shelves full and the regulars happy when they stop by for their daily supplies.
