Shri Gopal Dal Mill

This mill is out on Plot No 27 in the industrial area near Bargawa. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren’t used to the industrial side of town. We’ve got a big space for the milling machines and the storage. It gets really loud when the engines are running, so we end up shouting to hear each other. The air always smells like raw lentils and dust. We deal with a lot of farmers who bring their crops in. There are days when the yard is full of tractors and trucks waiting their turn. It’s hard work and the hours are long, especially during the harvest season. We don’t have any air conditioning, just big industrial fans that mostly just move the dust around. The walls have some cracks and the paint is peeling in spots, but the machines work fine, which is what matters most to us. We eat our lunch sitting on the grain bags sometimes when things are really moving fast. Shri Gopal Dal Mill has been a part of this industrial patch for a long time. We know the other business owners around here and we help each other out with tools or extra hands when needed. It is a simple operation without any fluff. We just focus on processing the dal and making sure it gets loaded onto the right trucks. The days are long but we like the work. It keeps us busy and out of trouble.
