Shree Ram Kirana Store

Our shop is sitting right here on Ghamapur Road in Jabalpur. It’s a busy spot in Beohar Bagh and mostly we just keep the doors open from morning until pretty late at night. The thing about running a kirana store like Shree Ram Kirana Store is that you never really know who is going to walk in next. One minute it’s a neighbor looking for a specific kind of lentil and the next it’s a kid wanting a single piece of candy. We have stuff stacked all over the place because space is tight. You’ll see bags of rice near the entrance and shelves filled with soaps and spices. It’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever see, but it works for the people around here. The fans hum all day to keep the heat away, but it still gets quite warm inside. Usually, someone is sitting on a stool by the counter checking the ledger or just watching the traffic go by outside. Ghamapur Road is always noisy with bikes and trucks, so you get used to the sound. We don’t have any big signs or anything, just the name and the address in Jabalpur City. It’s been here for a while now and we know most of the faces that come through the door. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery truck to navigate the narrow lanes to get to us.
