Shanti Sringar General Store

Shanti Sringar General Store is our place located at Chungi Naka in the Madotal area. We are right across from the ITI College, so we see a lot of students every single day. The name says Sringar, and we do keep things like bangles, bindis, and some basic makeup, but we are a general store too. You can find notebooks, pens, and plenty of snacks on our shelves. Jabalpur has been growing a lot towards this side, and Madotal has become much busier than it used to be years ago. The students come in looking for a quick snack or a last-minute pen before their classes start. We also have people from the nearby houses coming in for their daily milk or bread. The shop is a bit of a mix of everything. We have stuff hanging from the ceiling and piled up on the counters because we try to fit in as much as we can for the customers. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that keeps us going through the shift. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket with bright lights. We are just a local shop where you can get what you need without a fuss. We have been at this spot for years, watching the kids from the college graduate and new ones arrive. It is a good place to be.
