Satish Kirana & General Store

Sneh Nagar Chowk is one of those spots in Jabalpur City where something is always happening. Satish Kirana & General Store is right there on Main Road, and we see it all from our front step. The 482002 area is where we've put in a lot of years. The shop itself is filled with a bit of everything, from notebooks to laundry soap. It's a general store, so we try to keep a little bit of whatever people might ask for. We don't have a fancy layout or bright neon lights. It is mostly just old wooden counters and stacks of cardboard boxes that we haven't had time to break down yet. The morning starts with the milk delivery, and then it’s a steady stream of folks until late evening. We get a lot of dust from the chowk, so we are always wiping down the glass jars. It’s a small space, and sometimes it feels even smaller when a few people are in here at once. We don't have a big staff, just us working the counter and helping people find what they need. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from sunrise until the street starts to quiet down at night. We know most people by name, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change around us while we just stay here doing the same thing.
