Sapna Kirana Store

Sapna Kirana Store is sitting right on the Main Road in Bargi, not too far from the Jain Temple. If you’re in this part of Jabalpur, you probably know the spot. We’ve been running this kirana for years now, and it’s mostly just a lot of lifting sacks and keeping track of what’s running low. The temple nearby brings a certain kind of crowd, especially on festival days when things get really hectic. Most of the time, it’s just the local families coming in for their monthly rations like rice, oil, and spices. We have those old wooden counters that have seen better days, and the jars on the shelves are always being shifted around. It’s dusty work, especially when the trucks go past on the road outside. We don’t really have a lunch break; we just eat whenever the shop is empty for a few minutes. It can get tiring standing all day, but seeing the regulars makes it alright. We try to keep the staples in stock so nobody has to go all the way into the main city for basic stuff. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit and makes a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. We aren’t doing anything special, just selling groceries and making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs something. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. Most days we are just busy counting change and restocking the biscuit jars.
