Santosh Kirana Stores & General Stores

Our shop is right on the Main Road in Adhartal, not too far from the police station. Most people in Jabalpur know this area pretty well because it stays busy throughout the day. We run Santosh Kirana Stores & General Stores as a family thing mostly. It’s been part of our life for years. We sell the usual stuff you’d expect from a kirana store like pulses, rice, and different household items. It gets noisy with the traffic outside, but we’re used to it by now. People pop in while they’re waiting for the bus or just walking home from work. We don’t have a big team or anything, just us making sure the bags are filled and the change is correct. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late and we have to explain why something isn't on the shelf, but folks are usually understanding. Being near the police station means there’s always some movement around. We try to keep things organized but sometimes it’s a bit of a mess when a big shipment comes in. We don’t use any fancy computer systems for everything, just the old way of doing things that seems to work fine for us. If you live around here, you’ve probably seen us sitting near the entrance. We just keep going day by day, serving the local families and keeping the store running as best as we can. It’s a lot of work but it is what we do for the community here.
