Sanjay Tiwary Art

My workplace is over at Panchvatighat in Bhedaghat. It is a very specific part of Jabalpur because we are so close to the Dhuadhar falls. You can actually hear the water crashing down most of the time if the wind is right. Sanjay Tiwary Art is basically just me and the space I use to work. Being near the marble rocks is quite something, and the mist from the waterfall sometimes makes everything a bit damp. I have been in this area for a long time. The ghat is a place where a lot of people come to see the sights, so there is always movement around. My shop isn't a big gallery or anything like that. It is just a practical room where I keep my materials and finished pieces. The walls are a bit stained from the dust and the moisture, but it feels like home. I spend my days either working on something new or talking to the tourists who wander over from the falls. It is a quiet life in some ways, even with all the visitors. Jabalpur City is a bit of a drive away, so being out here in Bhedaghat feels a bit like being in a different world. I don't have a big staff or any corporate rules. It is just about the work and being present at the ghat every day. I like the way the light hits the river in the evening.
