Sagir Fine General Stores

Our shop, Sagir Fine General Stores, is located right in the middle of the Milouniganj area in Jabalpur. We are very close to the Fish Market and the Police Chowki, so it stays pretty loud and active around here most of the day. It’s a busy spot to have a store, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We sell all the basic things people need for their houses, from soaps to cooking supplies and snacks. It’s a general store, so we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves, though sometimes we run out of things faster than we can get them back in. The building itself is nothing special, just a regular shop floor packed with boxes and jars. We open early in the morning when the market starts waking up. People from the neighborhood stop in on their way home or while they are out getting their groceries. It is a family thing, usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look, as long as the items are there and the price is fair. Jabalpur is a hot city in the summer, so the shop can get a bit stuffy, but that’s just part of working in Milouniganj. We are just here doing our daily work and helping out the locals who need a quick item. We keep the ledger by hand and close up late in the evening when the street finally gets quiet.
