Rooprang General Stores

We are located at Shop No. 9 in George Town Market, right near the Satna Building. Malviya Chowk is always full of people moving around, so there’s never a dull moment here in Jabalpur. Rooprang General Stores has been in this spot for quite some time now. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into those shelves. You can find almost any household item if you look hard enough. I spend most of my day organizing the packets and talking to the regular customers who come by. The market gets really crowded on weekends, but that’s when we’re busiest. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a solid local shop where you can get your daily needs. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road, and it gets a bit chaotic, but that's part of the charm of working in Malviya Chowk. I try to listen to what people are asking for and then I call the suppliers to bring those things in. My family helps out too when things get hectic. We don’t really do much advertising because people around here already know where we are. It’s about keeping the shelves dusty but full and making sure we have change for the customers. It’s a humble way to earn a living, and we’re happy to be part of the George Town community. We just want to keep the shop open for the neighborhood and help where we can.
