Dua Saw Mills

The mill is located right over by Rawan Park in the Ranjhi area. You can usually smell the fresh-cut wood before you even see the building. It’s a noisy place, with the saws running for most of the daylight hours. We’ve got piles of logs and planks stacked up all over the yard, and there’s always a layer of sawdust on everything we own. We’ve been working with wood here for a long time, and our hands show it. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but there’s something nice about seeing a raw log turned into something useful. People from around Ranjhi come to us when they need boards for a project or some timber for a new roof. We don’t have a showroom or anything like that; you just walk into the yard and tell us what you’re looking for. Sometimes the machines need a bit of fixing, which slows things down, but that’s just part of the job. We keep a small shed for our tools and a place to sit and have a quick meal. Rawan Park is a good landmark, so folks don’t usually have much trouble finding us. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we’re happy to be part of the local community here. We just keep the saws sharp and the wood moving day after day.
