Om Sai Naath Provisions

If you are walking down the Main Road in Shiv Nagar, you will find Om Sai Naath Provisions near the Jain Mandir. Being so close to the temple means we see a lot of people every day, especially during festivals or morning prayers. Jabalpur gets quite warm, so we spend a lot of time under the fan waiting for the afternoon rush to start. Our shop is filled with bags of lentils, rice, and spices that make the whole place smell a certain way. It’s a practical shop meant for the people living nearby who don't want to travel far for their groceries. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we have to use a small ladder to reach the top items. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road when they come to drop off new crates, and the neighbors complain a bit, but we move as fast as we can. We’ve been here long enough that we’ve seen the kids in Shiv Nagar grow up and start coming in to buy things for their own homes. It is just a routine of weighing out grains, bagging up sugar, and making sure the change is right. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the name on the board out front. Most days are the same, just keeping the shop clean and helping whoever walks through the door with their daily list.
