At Midland Diesel Services in Jabalpur, we are located at 535, right opposite the Niharika T.V. Center. We are in the Krishna G building in the Suhagi area of Adhartal. If you come by, you’ll likely see a bunch of trucks or old engines parked out front. Our shop is a busy place where the air always smells like diesel and old oil. We spend our days taking engines apart and putting them back together. It’s dirty work and our clothes show it by the end of every shift. We’ve been in this part of Jabalpur for a long time now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. But people still need their diesel engines fixed, so we stay busy. The shop is full of tools and spare parts scattered across the workbenches. We don't have a clean office for people to wait in, just a couple of stools and some old newspapers. We like it that way because it’s honest. We don't pretend to be a high-end service center. We just fix what is broken. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because a part is stuck or rusted, but we stick with it until it’s right. It’s a hard way to earn a living, especially in the heat, but we’ve got our routine and it works for us and our customers. We just keep our tools ready.
