Marble & Stone Traders

Marble & Stone Traders is tucked into the shopping complex over at 20, Gopal Vihar in Cherital. It’s a solid spot for what we do. The shop is usually full of dust because that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with heavy slabs of rock all day long. We have various pieces of marble leaning against the walls and sometimes it feels like we’re running out of floor space to walk around. It’s heavy work, moving these stones from the trucks into the shop, and my back usually feels it by Friday afternoon. The shopping complex gets quite a bit of foot traffic, especially on the weekends when people are out looking at things for their homes. We don’t go in for big advertisements or anything fancy. People mostly find us because they live nearby or someone told them we had what they needed. The stone comes in different colors and patterns, and every piece looks a bit different from the last one. We spend our time measuring things out and talking to folks about what might fit in their kitchen or their bathroom. It is a simple business, really. We open up, move some stone, talk to the locals, and head home when the sun goes down. Cherital is a decent place to work, even if the parking at the complex can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We just try to keep a good stock of stone ready for whoever walks through the door.
