Manisha Kirana & General Stores

The shop is right at Karam Chand Chowk on the Main Road here in Jabalpur. It’s a crowded area, especially in the mornings when everyone is out getting their groceries. We have been running Manisha Kirana & General Stores from this spot for quite some time. The address says Jaipur at the end of some forms, but we are definitely in Jabalpur city 482002. It gets very hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. We sell a bit of everything, from lentils and rice to small household items like soaps and thread. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves. People from around the neighborhood stop by on their way home. We know most of them by name now. The floor is a bit uneven, and the paint is peeling in the corners, but it works for us. We don't do any big advertising. If someone needs something, they just walk in. The traffic outside never really stops until late at night. Sometimes the shipments get mixed up, so we spend the afternoon sorting through bags and boxes. It’s just how a small store runs. Nothing fancy, just the usual stuff you’d expect from a place at the chowk. We keep the ledger on the counter and try to stay organized, even when it’s chaotic. The doorbell is broken but we hear people come in anyway.
