Malgujaar Kirana Stores

Malgujaar Kirana Stores is located right in the middle of Raza Chowk in Jabalpur. We are very close to Zakir Hotel, which is a big landmark for anyone trying to find us in Anand Nagar. This part of Mahoriya gets very crowded, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. I keep the shop open late because that is when most people realize they ran out of dal or sugar for their tea. The space inside is quite cramped because I try to fit in as many sacks of grain and flour as I can. It smells like spices and raw rice in here most of the time. I don't really have a system for where everything goes, but I know exactly which corner has the turmeric and which shelf has the laundry detergent. My hands are usually a bit dusty from weighing out things on the scale. We have been here in Jabalpur City for a long time now. Dealing with the same faces every day makes the work feel less like work and more like just being part of the neighborhood. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise that I have stopped noticing, though customers sometimes mention it. It is just a basic kirana shop where you get what you need without any fuss or waiting in long lines like those big supermarkets they have now. It keeps us busy from morning till night.
