Mahadev Kirana General Stores is located right here on the Main Road in Adhartal. We are quite close to the SBI Bank, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. Jabalpur is a big city but this corner feels like its own little world. We’ve been operating this store for quite some time now, focusing on the basic groceries and general items that everyone needs at home. It’s not a huge supermarket, just a local shop where you can get your monthly rations without much fuss. The mornings are usually the busiest time when people are getting their supplies before the sun gets too hot. We spend a lot of our time weighing out grains and packing up bags for the regulars. We know most of the people who come in by name. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of all the construction and traffic on the main road, but we try to keep the shop as tidy as possible. We don't have any big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes we run out of things if the wholesaler doesn't show up, but we try our best to stay stocked. It’s just honest work, day in and day out. We open up the shutters early and don't close until late evening when the street finally gets quiet. Dealing with customers and suppliers takes up the whole day but we are used to the rhythm of this place.
