Krishna General Store

Krishna General Store is located in Jagdamba Colony, which is part of the Vijay Nagar area in Jabalpur. We are tucked away just behind the Krishi Upaj Mandi. Being near the mandi means there is always a lot of movement and trucks in the early mornings. We aren't a massive warehouse, just a regular general store selling things to the people living in the colony. We stock the essentials like flour, soaps, and dairy products. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that hum all day long. In the summer, it gets quite hot, but we keep the doors open to let whatever breeze there is come through. We know most of our customers by their first names. It’s the kind of place where people come to get their monthly rations or just a single packet of biscuits for tea. We handle the heavy sacks of grain ourselves, so our hands are usually a bit dusty. We don't have a fancy checkout system or barcodes. We just tell you the price and put the items in a bag. Sometimes we run out of milk early if we don't order enough, but that’s just part of running a small business. We’ve been in Jabalpur City for years now, and we’ve seen the kids in the colony grow up and start coming in to buy things for their own homes. It’s a steady, quiet life for us here.
