Kamlesh Kirana & General Store

You can find Kamlesh Kirana & General Store over by Garha Road Fatak. We are sitting right beside Shankar Ghee Bhandar. If you are heading towards the Mahakali Jagdish Temple, we are directly opposite that. It is a very lively part of Jabalpur City. We keep a mix of kirana items and general goods. It could be anything from a packet of salt to a new broom. The shop isn't fancy. We have wooden counters and bags of grain sitting near the entrance. Sometimes the smell of the ghee from next door drifts in, which isn't bad at all. We spend most of our day weighing out items and packing them in small bags for the customers. Since we are near the temple, we see a lot of people every day. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit messy when a big delivery comes in. We don't have fancy uniforms or a computer system that works all the time. We just do things the old way. My brother and I take turns sitting at the front. It gets hot in the summer, but we have a small cooler. People come in to chat as much as they do to buy stuff. We know which brand of tea the lady from down the street likes. It's just a neighborhood shop doing its thing near the fatak.
