Jain Stores

Jain Stores is located at Shop No 836 in Jabalpur City. We are right opposite the Jain Temple near Kamaniya Gate in the Sarafa Bazar Ward. This is a very old and famous part of Jabalpur where the streets are very narrow and always filled with people. Our shop is in an older building that has a lot of character. We sell a variety of things for the house and everyday life. Being so close to the temple means we hear the bells and the morning prayers every single day. It is a very busy place, especially during the festival seasons when the whole market gets decorated with lights. Our shop has shelves that go very high up the walls, so we keep a tall wooden ladder handy to get things down for our customers. It is not a modern store with air conditioning or anything like that. We just have a few old fans that spin and try to keep us cool during the hot months. The floors are made of old stone and they have worn down in the middle over the years. We know most of the other shopkeepers in Sarafa Bazar by their first names. We often talk to each other while waiting for the next customer to walk in. It is a tight community here. We don't have a big sign or any fancy lights outside. People know us because we have been here forever.
