Ghanashyam Kirana

Ghanashyam Kirana is located in the Gora Bazar area of Bilhari, right here in Jabalpur. We are on the Main Road, which is a pretty busy spot for anyone living in the 482020 district. It is a traditional kirana store through and through. We don't have fancy lights or automated doors. Instead, you get a counter, shelves full of pulses and spices, and someone who knows where everything is kept. The road outside can get quite loud with the buses and cars going toward Jabalpur city, but we are used to it. People from around Bilhari come to us for their monthly supplies because they know we have the basics they need. We try to keep the prices fair and the stock filled up. It's a lot of work carrying heavy sacks and keeping track of all the little items, but it is what we do. The shop is a place where people stop to chat for a minute while they wait for their groceries to be packed into bags. It’s just how life is in a place like Gora Bazar. We aren't trying to be the biggest super market in the world, just a reliable kirana shop for the families who live nearby. We open up early and stay open until most people are back home for dinner. It is a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us for years.
