Daily Needs General Store

Our store is located in Yadav Colony in Jabalpur, and the name pretty much tells you everything about what we do. We focus on the daily needs of the families living around here. It’s a quiet residential area compared to the main market, which I personally prefer. The shop isn't very big, but we have managed to fit a lot into the space we have. We have rows of jars filled with different candies for the children and big containers of grains for the grownups. I open up early every morning, usually around the time the first buses start running. There’s something nice about the quiet of the early morning before the neighborhood really wakes up. We don't have any sophisticated computer systems; I just keep track of things the old-fashioned way. The shelves are made of wood and have been here as long as the shop has. Sometimes the neighbor's cat wanders in to find a cool spot on the floor. People in Yadav Colony know they can just walk over if they run out of milk or need a new lightbulb. We don't try to be anything other than a local corner shop. It’s a peaceful way to make a living, talking to the neighbors and making sure we have the bread and eggs ready every single day without fail. That is just how life goes in this neighborhood.
