Dadi Nani Ghah Sewa Stores

If you walk down the Main Road in Shanti Nagar toward Damoh Naka, you will find Dadi Nani Ghah Sewa Stores. We are right by Vinayak Chowk in Jabalpur 482002. The name of the shop is a bit long but people around here just call it the corner store. I handle a lot of kitchen supplies and things for the house. The traffic at Vinayak Chowk is always a bit of a mess so there is a lot of honking outside the door. I have stacks of buckets near the entrance and the shelves are full of different types of lentils and rice. It is not a very big place so I have to stack things high. Sometimes I have to use a long stick to reach the packets of chips hanging from the roof. The walls are a bit dusty because of the Damoh Naka road construction. I keep a glass jar full of colorful toffees for the children who come in with their mothers. My chair is an old plastic one that creaks every time I move. I write all the sales in a thick register with a blue cover. Most of the people living in Shanti Nagar know me by name. We don't have any fancy displays, just the goods sitting out where people can see them. It gets quite warm in the afternoons so I usually drink a lot of water and wait for the sun to go down.
