We've been here on Street Number 7 in Sadar for quite some time now. People around Jabalpur know this spot in Sadar Bazar because it’s always busy with folks moving back and forth. My family started this because we wanted a place where the neighbors could just walk in and grab what they needed for their kitchens. It is a small space, honestly, packed with sacks of grains and those little plastic packets of spices that everyone uses daily. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, but we try to keep things tidy enough. We open early in the morning when the tea stalls start up. You’ll see us mostly sorting out the stock or helping someone find a specific brand of washing soap. It’s not a fancy supermarket with bright lights or anything like that. We just have shelves that go up to the ceiling and a counter that has seen better days. It gets loud outside with the rickshaws and people shouting, but that is just how life is in this part of Jabalpur. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us making sure the bags are weighed right and the change is correct. If you come by, you might have to wait a minute if we are unloading a truck, but we get to everyone eventually. It’s just a simple kirana shop doing its thing day after day.
