Ballu General Stores

Our shop, Ballu General Stores, is located in Plaza Market right in the Bhedaghat area. Being so close to the Dhuadhar falls means we get a mix of locals and tourists. Jabalpur can get really hot in the summer, so we keep the drinks cold. The market is usually bustling, especially on weekends when families come out to see the river. We have been running this place for a good while. It's a simple setup. We have pulses, spices, notebooks for school kids, and the usual household things. I usually sit here from morning until late evening. My brother helps with the heavy lifting when the stock comes in from Jabalpur City. The road outside can get a bit dusty with all the tourists passing by. We know most of the people who live around here, so it’s more like a family. You get to hear all the local gossip while weighing out the sugar or flour. We don't have any fancy scanners or anything, just a notebook to keep track of things. It’s a small life, but it’s ours. The shop is tucked away in the market, but people find us easily enough. We keep things honest and just try to have what people are looking for. It’s just a regular general store, nothing more and nothing less than that. We like being part of Bhedaghat and seeing the seasons change by the river. It’s home for us. There isn't much to it, but we are here every day regardless.
