We are over in Jabalpur, specifically in Sanchar Colony at TC-487. The office is actually part of the place where Smt Anita Tenguriya lives, so it has a very personal, local feel to it. Avadhesh Pharmaceuticals Private Limited has been run out of this spot for a bit. It’s a quiet area for the most part, away from the really loud parts of Jabalpur. The street outside is narrow, so when a delivery truck comes, everyone has to move their bikes so they can get through. Inside, we have a couple of rooms dedicated to the pharma work. There are shelves everywhere filled with ledgers and reference books. The walls are a simple off-white, and we have a small porch where we sit sometimes when the weather is nice. We spend a lot of time talking to local suppliers over the phone to coordinate things. It’s not a high-tech office; we still use a lot of paper and ink for our records. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, and we just sit and talk or organize the boxes until it comes back on. Dealing with the heat in Madhya Pradesh is just part of the job, so the ceiling fans are almost always on the highest setting. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing, making sure the shipments are ready and the paperwork is signed off correctly.
