Anjali Cards & Novelties

My brother and I started Anjali Cards & Novelties a few years ago because we liked the idea of a shop where you could find something for every occasion. We are over here at Malviya Chowk in the B-8 unit of Shyam Arcade. If you’ve walked through the arcade, you might have seen our sign. It’s not a huge place, but we try to keep the shelves full of different things. People usually come in looking for a birthday card or maybe some small gift items for a party. We have a lot of different greeting cards for weddings and festivals too. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the aisles when we get new stock in. We spend a lot of our day just unpacking boxes and making sure everything is priced right. It’s just a normal shop, nothing too fancy. We’ve been at this location for a while now and have gotten to know many of the regulars who work in the other offices around the arcade. Most mornings start with a quick tea while we get the shutters up and start tidying the displays. Sometimes the light in the back corner flickers, but we mostly have things under control. It’s busy work, but it keeps us on our toes. We are usually here from morning until late evening most days of the week.
