Anil Handicrafts

Anil Handicrafts is situated on the Main Road in Bheraghat, Jabalpur. We are very close to the waterfall, so you can always hear the water crashing down if it’s a quiet moment. Most of the people who stop by are tourists who have come to see the sights. Because of where we are, we mostly have items made from the local white stone. We have small carvings, statues, and little boxes that people can carry easily. The shop is quite small and the shelves are just basic wood we put up ourselves. It gets quite dusty because of all the stone work nearby, so we are often dusting off the pieces. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It’s just a small local shop where we sit and wait for customers. Sometimes it gets very hot in the afternoon, and we just keep the door open to get a breeze. We don’t have fancy marketing or a big sign, just our name above the entrance. People usually find us as they walk down the road toward the water. We try to keep a variety of things so there is something for everyone. If we don't have something, we sometimes tell people where else they might find it. It's a relaxed place. We've been here for a while and we just do our work day by day, seeing who comes in and showing them the crafts.
