Agarwal Oil Stores is located on the Main Road in the Galgala area of Jabalpur. This part of the city is always buzzing with activity, and our shop is right in the middle of it. We deal mostly with different kinds of oils, and you can usually smell them as soon as you walk in. It’s a very specific kind of smell, sort of earthy and heavy. The shop itself is quite traditional. We have large containers and barrels sitting around, and we spend a lot of time measuring things out for customers who bring their own bottles. The floor can get a bit slick if we aren't careful, so we are always putting down sawdust or cleaning up spills. We don’t have any fancy signs or neon lights. It’s just a plain storefront with the name painted on. Most of our day is spent handling the heavy drums or talking to the suppliers who come by with their trucks. Jabalpur can get very hot, so the shop feels a bit stuffy in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going. We’ve been here long enough that people know us by sight. There’s no big corporate mission here, just selling oil and making sure the measurements are right. It’s hard work and your hands usually end up a bit greasy by the end of the day, but it’s what we do.
