Jj Bricks

We are out here in Tissa, right near the Trans Arunachal Highway. It gets pretty busy with the trucks passing by all day. My name is one of the guys who helps keep Jj Bricks running. We spend most of our mornings getting the clay ready and checking on the kiln. It is hard work, mostly because the weather in Langdon district can be a bit unpredictable sometimes. When the rain comes, we have to move fast to cover everything up. The yard is usually full of stacks of bricks waiting to be picked up. We don't have a big office or anything fancy like that. Just a small shack where we keep our tools and take our lunch breaks. Most of the people around here know where we are because you can see our smoke from the road. We’ve been at this spot for a good while now. It’s just me and a few others from the village working here. We mostly deal with local builders who come by with their own trailers. Sometimes the dust from the highway gets into everything, but you get used to it after a week or two. We just focus on getting the piles done and making sure the bricks are fired right before they leave the yard. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy from sunrise until the sun goes down behind the hills.
