Ajanta Cement Products

Working out of Peth Sangli Road has its ups and downs. Ajanta Cement Products is located right near the Post Office in Islampur, which is in the Sangli district. It’s a busy part of the road with lots of people moving back and forth all day long. We have a yard where we keep all the cement items we make. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and the air usually smells a bit like wet concrete and dust. We started this because there was a need for these kinds of things in the local area. Most of the time, we are just busy pouring molds or stacking up the finished pieces so they can dry out properly. The sun gets pretty hot out here in the yard, so we try to get most of the hard work done before the middle of the day. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. We have a small desk where we keep the ledger and take notes on what needs to be delivered next. People from all over Islampur stop by when they are fixing up their houses or putting in new pipes. We’ve been here for a while and the place looks it. The walls have some stains and there is always a layer of grey dust on everything, but that is just how it goes with cement. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day.
