Oerlikon Balzers

Oerlikon Balzers is situated at A-15 in the Sipcot Industrial Park over in Irrungattu Kottai. It is a big industrial area and we’re just one of the many facilities operating here on a daily basis. Our work is fairly technical, dealing with coatings and such, but we are mostly just a group of people who show up and get the job done properly. The factory floor is where everything happens, and it is usually pretty loud with the sound of the machines running all the time. We don’t have a fancy corporate lobby or anything like that. We’re more focused on the work we are doing in the back of the building. The commute out to Irrungattu Kottai is part of the daily routine for all of us. We have a good team here and everyone knows what they are supposed to do when they walk in. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe our day. It is about precision and making sure the equipment is working like it should. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when we have a lot of orders to finish, but we just put our heads down and keep going. We’ve been in this spot in the Sipcot park for a while now. It’s a practical, hardworking environment and that’s exactly how we like it. We're just local folks doing the work.
